Professor Evgeny Chukharev-Hudilainen of the Iowa State University Department of English will lecture on "Combining linguistics, computer science, and language pedagogy: motivation, challenges, results" at the CSLC on November 30 at 3:30 p.m. Professor Chukharev-Hudilainen leads the CyWrite Project, an automated writing evaluation tool. Recently the National Science Foundation awarded the project with a $300,000 grant through their Cyberlearning program. The grant will "support exploratory research into the use of eyetracking and keystroke logging technologies for providing learners with process-focused formative feedback on their writing."
