ESL classes for spouses
The ESL for International Spouses Program was created by International Student and Scholar Affairs to enrich the lives and improve the English levels of the spouses of international students, scholars, staff, and faculty, regardless of immigration status. Experienced instructors teach conversational English, American culture, English grammar, and English literature. In the classes, everyone has the chance to speak English and to ask questions.
For more information about resources for international spouses at Notre Dame, visit the ISSA website.

Fall classes will run September 3, 2019 through November 21, 2019 (no classes the week of fall break). If interested, sign up and pay by credit card here. You may sign up for one or both classes.
TESOL practicum classes
Students may choose to attend an elective conversation class led by a TESOL Practicum student that begins on the week of January 20 through the week of April 20, 2020. The time and place for this class will be announced soon.
ISSA and the EAP Program do not offer classes for those who are just beginning to learn the English language. For those individuals, we recommend they visit the Robinson Community Learning Center, the South Bend Community School Corporation Adult Education Center, or The Language Company for beginning English as a New Language (ENL) courses.
