TESOL and Linguistics Minors: Information Session

-

Location: 320 DeBartolo Hall

The TESOL and Linguistics Minors Information Session is for undergraduate students who are interested in studying or teaching languages. The TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) minor is designed to equip students with the skills to teach English to non-native English speakers. A minor in TESOL opens up the opportunity to teach English in the U.S. or abroad! The Linguistics minor arms students with the technical skills to analyze language and linguistic structure. Linguistics minors go into a range of fields, including the government, translation or interpretation, and information technology, among others. A TESOL or Linguistics minor is a strong complement to many majors, supplementary majors, and minors, and may even assist you in obtaining grants for undergraduate research. Both of the minors will also give you the foundation needed to go on to graduate studies in disciplines such as education, education policy, applied linguistics, and more. Come to the information session to learn more!
