Please mark your calendars for the third Provost's Learning Initiative speaker: Professor Carolyn Penstein Rose of Carnegie Mellon University.  A distinguished scholar working on language technologies and human-computer interaction, Rose will be offering two pubic events:

  • Monday May 6 @ 4pm in 1030 Jenkins-Nanovic Hall, a presentation of her research in progress: "Interpreting Social Signals in Online Communication"
  • Tuesday May 7 @ 10am in the Academic Innovation room, Martin Media Center, Corbett Hall. A roundtable & working conversation to explore the implementation of language-technologies and HCI tools and strategies at Notre Dame.
