Contemporary work and social environments are evolving to use more inclusive and polite language in order to promote safe spaces for every member of the community. In this workshop we will define what constitutes a microaggression and how we can avoid using these ourselves or handle a situation in the office in which we are victims of microaggressions. Together we will discuss how to communicate effectively without isolating or offending members of our community, as well as how to advocate for politically correct communication in the workplace.
