A national conference on intercultural competence and foreign languages in higher education held on the University of Notre Dame campus in Spring, 2022.

The CSLC, in collaboration with the language departments and the Rome Global Gateway, will host this 3-day event on the Notre Dame campus. The conference will bring together researchers, educators and experts across languages to present their case studies, research findings, and classroom activities. The goal is to facilitate a meaningful exchange on intercultural competence, showcase the work done at Notre Dame, and inform the foreign language curriculums in the College of Arts and Letters, as well as Notre Dame International and the greater University.

This conference is expected to be a pioneering event as, to our knowledge, a comparison of intercultural competence across languages has not yet been attempted by any other institution.

For more information, contact the CSLC at cslc@nd.edu or visit the conference web site to see a schedule of presentations and to register.
