Please join us as Prof. Julia Adeney Thomas (History, U. of Notre Dame) joins the class ROSP 40431: Anthropocene in Iberian Literatures and Cultures to discuss the meaning of the Anthropocene, a notion that fundamentally defines our epoch as one in which "the planetary functioning has been altered by overwhelming human impacts," demanding a different grasp of human narratives, epochality and temporality in the humanities and cultural studies in particular.
