The University of Notre Dame's Graduate School and the Center for the Study of Languages and Cultures (CSLC) are partnering to offer an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Pre-Academic Summer Program for STEM students. This program will provide participating students an opportunity to learn and practice academic English--including presentation and teaching skills relevant to teaching/lab assistant roles--from specialized faculty within a targeted curriculum before the start of the fall semester.
The program length has been targeted at four weeks from July 22 - August 16. This will allow sufficient time for intake and assessment as well as a meaningful cycle of coursework and study. In addition to coursework, the CSLC and the EAP Faculty will offer several ancillary support opportunities via afternoon tutoring, self-study resources and language practice activities.
