German Languages and Literatures at Notre Dame

The CSLC coordinates with and organizes many co-curricular programs and academic events with the German Program at the University of Notre Dame. Our departmental program liaison is Professor Denise DellaRossa.

Student-Driven German Language Table (2013-2014)

Dates: Every Monday, beginning March 3, 2014
Time: 11:30-12:30pm
Location:  North Dining Hall (Room Beyond the Pasta Bar)

German speakers of all levels are welcome, from beginning to advanced. Students who are not part of the campus meal plan may obtain a meal ticket simply by visiting the Department’s administrative assistant, Alicia Olejnik, in 318 O’Shaughnessy Hall. The Nanovic Institute for European Studies has generously provided funding for these tickets.

German Board Game Nights

German board games are characterized more by strategy than by chance. Take a study break to sharpen your wits and learn about German culture with classic games like Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne, or learn new ones like Ingenious and Bohnanza. Snacks provided. Bring a friend or roommate. All are welcome; no German is required to participate.
