Conferences and Symposiums

Every year, the CSLC sponsors the Let's Talk conference, which brings prominent language scholars together to discuss advances in language acquisition theory and best practices for language instruction.

In addition, the CSLC holds periodic conferences and symposiums in response to changing faculty needs and interests. Most recently, the CSLC hosted the fall 2015 Extensive Reading conference, which discussed the ways that reading for pleasure in a second language, at a level that is below the student's maximum linguistic capacity, can increase student engagement and confidence in the target language.
