Tanzania's emerging film industry is known for its low budget and short production schedules, informally being referred to as "Bongowood" and "Swahiliwood". But the Tanzanians are working hard to change that, and with help from the Tanzanian government and non-profit organizations, the Tanzanian film industry is making efforts to improve production with high-tech cameras, better production facilities and developing filmmaking skills.
