Delivering presentations is a required part of the academic environment and, along with writing for publications, is one of the key ways in which academic knowledge is shared. In the American academic context, there is an assumed knowledge of the skills needed to give a presentation. This joint workshop of the EAP Program and the ND Toastmasters Club will discuss those underlying cultural assumptions and will give a series of tips for presenting well at your next conference or symposium.
