Chinese Classical Dance

Chinese classical dance has a very long history which can be traced back to Chinese royal dances or folk dances during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD). Emphasizing storytelling, Chinese classical dance  is characterized by the fluid movements and styles of traditional Chinese martial arts, acrobatics and opera. Chinese classical dance emphasizes the role of eyes in expressing different feelings.

It creates a unique Eastern aesthetic experience by blending strength and delicacy, and highlighting "both form and spirit, body-and-mind integration, and internal and external unity" which are expressed by the rhythm of body movement.
