Mary Breezley (Davis)

Assistant Director

Mary is from many places; she was born and spent her formative years in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing her bachelor's degree at The University of Georgia, she called Chengdu, China home for a time while teaching English. She then returned to the US and completed her master's degree in Applied Linguistics at Georgia State University and then became a resident of Brooklyn, New York. Through her travels, work, and study, Mary has become familiar with the growing pains that often accompany intercultural adjustment and development. Now in Indiana, she hopes to combine her academic and experiential backgrounds to support Notre Dame’s rich community of teachers and learners in their linguistic and cultural pursuits. She is particularly interested in developing programs to facilitate intercultural development through language learning both at home and abroad.
